What should I bring to class?
Bottle of water to stay hydrated, a towel to take care of all that drenching sweat, your smile and tons of energy!
Can anyone take part in a Zumba Fitness class?
YES ! People of all ages, sizes and shape (even men) can participate in this class! The class is aerobic interval training which means we alternate between fast and slow rhythms BUT the key is for you to know your body. Do what feels good, go at your pace and let the rhythm
take you away!
What if the steps are too hard and I can't get them?
Stick with it! Remember, we know the music, so it comes easy and natural for us. Some moves will be harder than others but the key is for you to stick with it and believe us, in no time, you will have it. If you are having extreme difficulty, pull us to the side before or after
class and we'll be more than happy to help you with the groove!
What are the best shoes to wear in a Zumba class?
Zumba Fitness recommends that you wear "cross training" or "aerobic" style shoes. They provide the cushion and medial-lateral support needed for side-to-side movements. They also have low traction rubber for easy gliding and
turning. Please be careful with "running shoes" as they use a heavy tread on the bottom and are designed specifically for forward movement.
How many calories can I burn during a Zumba class?
The number of calories each person burns per class varies. However, depending on your body parameters (type, composition, intensity, range of motion), you can burn HUNDREDS of calories per class.
